‘Building Search Was a Success’

Tonight Team Members met at Riverside Marina in Penketh, Warrington for a search not to be forgotten.

Members were faced with 3 separate scenario’s including two search and a rescue scenario. The initial scenario was for a gentleman who had been reported missing but had worked within the area. The members were faced with items of clothing which belong to the exercise misper (missing person), in which they had to deal with the items as a Crime Scene.

The second scenario was unexpected by many Team Members and threw uncertainty amongst a few members. They were tasked to search for the same gentleman along the canal towpath which runs in parallel to the River Mersey. As members searched the banking and the canal they came upon a female who fell immediately into the water after she was doing some routine maintenance on her barge. Members didn’t know the exercise casualty and therefore were unaware that it was part of the scenario.

The last scenario was of a building belonging to Polemarch Industrial Limited. Team members were asked to search the building according to ‘best practice’ which they all did without any hesitation.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make tonight possible including;

  • Polemarch Industrial Limited
  • All at Riverside Marina (inc the Mechanic’s who reacted so well!)
  • Community Re-paint & ICI
