‘Cycle Team Toured Trans Pennine Trail’ Cycle team members met at Sankey Bridges, Warrington and toured parts of the National Trans Pennine Route which incorporates the Bridgewater Canal and Moore Nature Reserve, Warrington. The latter being a high-quality area in which to utilize for further search scenarios with the usage of Foot Teams, Dog Teams and Cycle Teams. A point to be noted was that Team Members at Arpley Meadows recognised the presence of the smell of something that had deceased. After a brief search of the area was made, it was found to be a dead lamb. However, those members have now experienced the smell of death, macabre as it seems, it is an experience that portrays a small part of our role within a search and rescue team. |
