‘Search at Marbury Country Park ’

Tonight Team Members gathered at Marbury Country Park, Northwich to search for a couple who were last seen at 1420hrs arguing in the car park of Marbury Country Park, off Marbury Lane, Northwich.

The ‘Search Exercise’ commenced at 1930hrs and members were separated into three search areas (sectors). The search scenario was organised by Damian & Lee and members were presented with the following…

‘Today at 1430hrs Mr and Mrs Do-Good were seen in the car park having a heated discussion about what they should do with both of the children. The children had been seen earlier demanding that they wanted to go into the pool, although no-one had seen them enter the pool area. After an initial search of the pool and surrounding areas, they still remained missing.

 At 1730hrs a phone call was received by the Rangers asking if anyone was in the Park area matching the family description. The missing family were expected at to arrive at a BBQ around 4pm however they failed to arrive.

 Since the initial search, the children have been found safe and well and are presently with their grand-parents nearby in Comberbach’.

The search sectors included Hopyards Wood, this area is open countryside and wetland meadows, and this also provides a link from Marbury Country Park to Anderton Boat Lift & Museum. Easterly of Hopyards Woods was also covered and members were faced with an over-grown area in a valley with a stream and ‘wild garlic’ was plentiful!

The exercise ended successfully at 2115hrs.
