‘One Step Beyond’

Cheshire Lowland Search & Rescue Team purchased their very first vehicle tonight. It’s a Fiat Ducato Minibus which in time we hope to convert into a Search Incident Support vehicle.

The Minibus was kindly offered to us by St. John Ambulance, Cheshire and with their help and expertise, and of course after 4 years of fundraising, we are finally the very proud owners of this new vehicle.

Of course there is more work to be undertaken not just on the vehicle but also fundraising to meet the target of Tax, Insurance and Petrol costs – a challenge we are looking forward to over the next few months.

We would like to thank Neil at St. John Ambulance, Cheshire and also Minibusure.com for providing us the insurance and of course the many many quotes they provided. But most of all, a big thank you must go to all Team Members who have worked so hard over the last few years and I’m sure I speak on behalf of the Team – this isn’t a moment too soon!
