‘Call-Out in Knutsford, Cheshire ’

At lunchtime today, we received a call for assistance from Cheshire Police to search the Knutsford area for a despondent male.

Shortly later, new information was received which indicated we were no longer required due to his phone being traced into the Greater Manchester area.

This incident initially began within Cheshire due to his car being located inside the Cheshire border, however with the phone trace being in Greater Manchester this then indicated he was unfortunately outside of the Cheshire boundary and therefore handed over from Cheshire Police to Greater Manchester Police.

Although Cheshire Lowland will travel out of the county, we are reassured that the search could continue with our friends and colleagues over at Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
