First Aid Course for St. Wilfreds Scout - 20 March
This weekend team members, Dave McClure, Chris Palin, Katie Wightman, Linda Howell, Denis Bates and Colin Wrench were on hand to deliver a First Aid Course for the Scouts at St. Wilfreds, Grappenhall.
Over the weekend the scouts embarked on a journey of theory and practical sessions both indoors and outdoors as appropriate to their environment. They learnt many skills including:
- CPR
- Recovery Position
- Medical Emergencies
- Management of Trauma
- Infection Control
- Communication
- and up to the sylabus of Scout First Aid badge level 5
The weekend wouldn't have been possible without the continued support of Denis Ward, Scout Leader for Grappenhall. Denis has been a supporter of the team for many years now and we extend our thanks once again for all he has done and continues to do for us.
