Pressure Rises on Search Exercise - 23 April

This evenings training session was initated at Bruche Park, Bruche Avenue, Warrington with a 30 strong search team and 1 new Search Manager.

Receipe for distaster???

Tonight we welcomed newly qualified Search Manager, Caroline Jacks, into the world of search management and from the out-set the pressure was on as unknowingly to Caroline, John O'Shea, who is a Police Search Adviser for Cheshire Police ran the exercise in real time.

Unfortunately for Caroline, John's instructions were 'to be a pain and to increase the pressure', he certainly did just that!

Throughout the evening, Caroline sectored the areas and managed very well with the end result of the missing person being located.  She also had to deal with a change of Control RV and direct members accordingly.

Upon locating the missing person, the team who found her needed urgent assistance to extricate her from a second floor in a deralict building with no lighting and many hazards.  With the pressure still rising, she managed to co-ordinate the teams and successfully rescue the individual.

Well done Caroline, we just hope now you'll return to do another!
