Search Kit is revamped - 13 April
This evening team members met at St John Ambulance HQ in Warrington to revise the current kit list we all carry as 'searchers'.
The basic kit list is standardised at a national level by the Association of Lowland Search & Rescue (ALSAR). However as the team progresses into rescue and medical incidents we felt it necessary to combine the national standard with our own counties needs and requirements.
The evening saw us revamping and setting our own standards over and above the national standard and also our team bags in which each individual search party carry was also revaluated and items were added.
We intend now to vote these amended changes in at our EGM and this will then become the standard for new members and old alike.
Once again we thank St John Ambulance Cheshire for the fantastic training facilities and also Jo Mc for organising the evening.
