Stretcher Handling Training at Pex Hill - 20 April

This evening team members arrived at Pex Hill, Cronton, Widnes for a search exercise encorporating casualty care and stretcher handling.

The scenario was set for a hasty search to be conducted around the quarry for a missing male with Learning Difficulties.  Upon locating the missing male Caroline Jacks took overall control of the casualty care with Jeff Richardson and Jim Oliver managing the incident site.  The missing person was evacuated to the nearest road head to RV with the 'exercise' ambulance.

The scenario then ended and we exchanged the basket stretcher with our MIBS and also the Paraguard and members made their way into the quarry area for 2 more scenario's involving various injuries all associated with climbing and falls from height.

Thanks to Mel Orme, Dominique Shrubb and Damian Timmis for being the ever so convincing casualties, (scout acting badges are on order!) And also to the members of the public who were ever so helpful and also to Dave McClure for arranging the enjoyable evening.
