100th search for Team Leader - 6 May

Congratulations to Team Leader and Search Manager Joanne McClure. Today was a special search for Jo, as this is her 100th search she has co-ordinated on behalf of Cheshire Search and Rescue Team and also Cheshire Police.

Jo joined the team in January 2004 when we were named 'Warrington Search and Rescue Team'. It has taken Jo over 6 years to achieve this status and something which she is very proud about.

Jo says "When I received the call for assistance this morning, adrenalin and emotions were mixed all into one, I didn't know if to cry with joy or to fill my flask!

"Cheshire Police have certainly made me wait for this one search! As I run my 100th search it is tinted with some sadness but yet relief as I now leave the search co-ordinating to newly qualified and very capable Search Managers, John Teasdale and Caroline Jacks as I dig out my boots and get them dirty again and go out with the search teams rather than sit in the control unit co-ordinating the search. I wish them both the very best of luck and many sleepness nights."

Congratulations Jo!
