Search Continues in Chester - 8 and 9 May
A continuation of the search which began on Thursday 6 May was requested by Cheshire Police and the team were asked to meet near West Cheshire College at 1pm.
Concerns had grown over-night for the whereabouts of a missing male with Schizophrenia from the Chester area and the team had been contacted to provide further assistance.
Teams were deployed into areas of dense woodland and open fields with no sightings of the missing male. Search dog Tess and handler Dominique Shrubb searched an area of dense undergrowth along a busy public pathway with little success.
Darkness soon fell and the search was suspended until 9am tomorrow.
Sunday 9th May, 2010
The search recommenced this morning after local Chester resident went missing who has Schizophrenia and has been without medication since Monday morning.
Teams met at Chester Business Park to continue with the search of a large
woodland
area.
Yesterday the northern sector of the woodland was completed and today
we concentrate on the southern sector.
Teams were allocated their search areas by Search Manager, John Teasdale. Teams searched the woodland and despite their efforts there were no positive sightings of the missing male.
The search concluded at 6pm and further investigations are to be carried out by Cheshire Police.
