Call out for missing male in Newton-le-Willows - 16 May

This afternoon Cheshire Police contacted the Duty Call-out Officer of Cheshire SAR to request assistance in the search for a missing male.

The missing male was sighted in Newton-Le-Willows less than an hour before we received the call. The male had been missing for 3 days and had previously been a medium risk missing person. Family, friends and Cheshire Police became more concerned of his whereabouts as the time went on and his status had moved to a high risk this morning.

Less than 20 minutes on-scene and the missing male had been located in a nearby field by a search dog and handler. Medical assistance was provided by Clinicial and Deputy Team Leader, Dave McClure and Search Manager, John Teasdale. The male was taken to Warrington Hospital as he was hypothermic and confused.
